The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity would
like to invite you and your family to join us Saturday, September 26th
for the Seventh Annual Parent’s Weekend Charity Auction and Benefit
Dinner.
Fundraising both for our organization and philanthropies is the biggest goal within our Fraternity. Last year we donated a considerable portion of the proceeds from this auction to a Marianist school in India where our former advisor Brother Tuss was affiliated. Our Pike Bounce for Charity in February raised over $10,000 for the Cassano Family Health Center, a medical clinic in Dayton which provides medical care for all people regardless of their financial status. As a fraternity we are looking forward to the challenge of creating a scholarship for any University of Dayton student that wishes to travel abroad in order to complete volunteer work next summer in honor of Evan Witty, a member of our Fraternity who passed away unexpectedly last spring while on a mission trip in Cambodia. We also look forward to establishing the Palm Tree Orphanage in Cambodia as our new philanthropy in memory of Evan and the great amount of service he gave to the children in the orphanage.
The Auction will be held at the Dayton DoubleTree Hotel with a cocktail hour commencing at 6:30 p.m. The price per person will be $50.00 which includes admission to the auction and dinner. The auction is open to family and friends of all brothers. The dinner will be buffet style with entrée options of Beef Tips and Salmon as well as an assortment of desserts. There will be a bar as well serving a variety of beverages.
This success of the auction depends heavily upon your donations and attendance. We invite you to please consider making a donation to our event. For past auctions generous parents have donated silent auction items such as Pike item gift baskets (Pike Apparel, Drink ware, etc.), wine and cheese baskets, and corn-hole sets. Items that have been donated to our live auction have been things such as autographed sports jerseys, tickets to sporting events, and vacation packages to various places. Auction tickets can be purchased by mail with your R.S.V.P. or online through PayPal by clicking the button below.. For those who are unable to attend and still wish to donate you may do that as well either by check or through this website.
